Why my first site failed - Reasons

As like many other aspirants who wish to have a steady income through their sites, I started mine too. It was just a few months ago. I selected a domain name, I registered, owned a hosting space and lanuched the site. But I got no or very little visitors everyday to my site. Still now my AdSense earning is low. I can just tell you the reasons beyond this failure from my experience.

Don'ts:

• If you want to earn online, don't select a domain name of your own interest.

• Don't try to concentrate much on making your site fancy and attractive using several freely available widgets and techniques.
  
• 
  
• Don't stay away from the theme of your site at any page of your site.
  
• 
  
• Try to aviod images and advanced graphics in your site.
  
• 
  
• Don't copy content from other websites and paste them as it is, in your site. By doing this, you are ashaming your own site!
  

Do's:

• First decide the target topic or subject based on which you are going to build your site.
  
• 
  
• Do a deep and extensive keyword research on the selected topic.
  
• 
  
• Research other sites related to your subject and follow how they had their site organized.
  
• 
  
• Select a simple and efficient template for your site without complex graphics.
  
• 
  
• Build your site with your own content. This is the most important and crucial part of your success. As far as the content is yours, you are unique around the web. When your content is of good quality, your site is going to be popular automatically.
  
• 
  
• Remember one thing! Most of today's internet users are able to identify the qualtiy of a site at a glance. If the content of your site is relevant to the site's theme and also of good quality, I bet that no matter how your site look, they will be coming back to your site often by recalling your site's address from their mind and not from any bookmarking or other tools.
  

The golden phrase of internet success is always "Content is King!".
